Evaluations

Caleb Kern is one of the top boys golfers in Wisconsin, proved by his 2024 individual State Championship. He’s grown to 6-foot-4 while increasing his driving distance to over 270 yards. Caleb’s top skill is his creativity, shaping shots and saving pars around the green. He hits about 70% of greens and averages 31 putts per round.   Caleb has been competitively golfing for 10 years and plays in many tournaments each summer. Last year he won the Junior Masters Match Play and the Geneva National Jr. PGA Tournament (72). That followed a spring in which Caleb was named 1st-Team All-Conference and placed top-20 at State. Caleb won his WIAA Regional (77) as a freshman and the WIAA Sectional (73) as a junior.   Also a dedicated student with a 3.4 GPA, Caleb is extremely passionate about golf. He is constantly analyzing the wind/yardage and his ball flight to maximize results. I expect him to continue fine-tuning his game and draw lots of high-level interest. — Jon Feyen, ScoutU Golf Scout, Jon@ScoutU.com, 920-979-3093

Message from Caleb

My name is Caleb Kern, and I’m a 2025 graduate of Edgerton High School in Wisconsin. During my junior season, I posted a 71 scoring average while maintaining a 3.4 GPA, balancing both academics and my athletic pursuits. Last spring, I won the individual State Championship (+3), claimed the WIAA Sectional title (73) and was honored as Conference Player of the Year. Over the summer I continued to improve, lowering my scoring average by 5 strokes from the previous year, earning 2 wins while securing five top-5 and eight top-10 finishes. I am ranked #975 nationally on Junior Golf Scoreboard.   As a golfer, I bring a unique blend of creativity and physical ability to the game. Standing tall at 6-4, I find that my height provides speed and power to my swing. Working out three times a week with strength coach Erik Helland keeps me in optimal shape for the sport. Additionally, I receive swing lessons from Larry Tiziani at TPC Wisconsin, which has greatly refined my technique. Even when I can’t hit the course, I maintain my skills by practicing at home, using a putting green and a net in the garage during the winter months. Beyond the game itself, I am committed to giving back to my community by assisting with junior golf programs in the summer and working with special education students during the school year. I’ve also taken up a position at a local country club, not only for financial support but also to gain access to high quality facilities, enabling me to elevate my game to its fullest potential.   Thank you for viewing my profile. I look forward to discussing the possibility of joining your program and continuing my academic and athletic journey.
