Evaluations

2025 SG Liam Dunn from Highland Park (IL) is the definition of an overall player. At 6-foot-2, he can do a little bit of everything from defending the ball, knocking down shots from inside and deep, getting to the basket and finishing, to finding open teammates for assists. Liam’s shooting ability is the most impressive to me from off the dribble pull-ups to catch-and-shoot 3s.   He is also an extremely good kid, very coachable and will do whatever a coach asks of him. Liam is a hard worker, and I can tell this kid trains religiously on his own personal game. He is definitely a gym rat! From talking with him and seeing his game, the sky is the limit for this versatile guard. He also handles business off the court holding a 3.4 GPA. I look forward to following Liam’s progress the coming year because he has a no-quit attitude and will do whatever it takes. — DJ Blanks, ScoutU Basketball Scout, DJ@ScoutU.com, 216-990-8617

Message from Liam

My name is Liam Dunn, and I am a 2025 graduate at Highland Park High School in Illinois. I also play on the club team All In Athletics (NY2LA). So far my cumulative GPA is 3.4 and I’m interested in studying Business-Sports Marketing, Athletic Performance/Kinesiology, or Communication. On the court, my strengths are my ability to shoot the ball and make plays off of my shot, whether it be for myself or for my teammates. I do this all while filling any defensive or offensive role to help the team win: rebounding, reading the game, getting teammates shots, communicating, or setting up team dinners, whatever it may be.   For me, basketball has always been about wanting to get better with skills, strength and mental sharpness. The trait that has helped me the most in my journey is loving the grind and the game. I truly enjoy working hard and doing what I love. I even enjoy practices, lifts and training as much as I enjoy the games. I work out 2-3 times a day and 7 days a week (with some rest days sprinkled in). I do a skills workout in the morning, strength midday, and shooting in the afternoon/evening. I usually start at 6 am working with my trainer so I can space the workouts out and have time to recover.   Along with the busy basketball schedule, I’ll have a combined 4 AP classes taken by the time I graduate, and I was on the honor roll as a sophomore. My hobbies include coaching a youth girls basketball team for Lake Bluff Middle School (where my mom is a teacher). We won the championship, and it felt really rewarding. I also have a job training my younger brother and his friends in basketball and fitness.   Thank you Coach, for your time and consideration.
